Cowboy is truly a very special dog, and would make a great indoor /outdoor companion for anyone who likes to hang around the house. Cowboy has his own recliner, and spends most of his time there while waiting for his people to get home; but he is also an accomplished squirrel chaser! Cowboy is a mature guy, and has no interest in destructive behaviour and chasin' the ladies. He would, however, love to share a couch and some popcorn with his family, while enjoying the newest episode of Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet! Who We Are
The animal over population problem in our area is a serious one. We work very hard to rescue animals from many different kinds of situations, and have seen a severe increase in the number of homeless pets following last year's hurricanes. We are at capacity now, and desperately need more volunteers who would be wiling to provide a temporary haven for the homeless and abandonded animals in our area. Please contact us if you are interested in being a foster parent for P.A.W.S.
We are currently working to find a place to call our own and are actively seeking land to house our shelter. If you, or someone you know from the Jefferson/Hardin/Tyler County area, would be interested in helping us realize our dream, please contact us. Because we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with tax exempt status from the IRS, your donation of land will be tax-deductible at the end of the year. We have done wonderful things and placed many animals utilizing our foster program. Just imagine what we could accomplish as a community with a central shelter facility!
Adopting a friend
Most of our animals can be adopted with a 75$ adoption donation. This fee includes first shots and a spay or neuter surgery. (This surgery IS required, and we reserve the right to re-claim the animal if our contract for the surgery is broken.) Applicants can adopt same day during our adoption days at PETCO!
Come visit us on Saturdays, from 11 to 5, at the PETCO on Dowlen Road in Beaumont to see some of our adoptable animals and learn more about our organization.
